Released on their newly-formed record label 'Heart & Skull' (a joint venture with Epitaph Records), "This Addiction" sounds more like Alkaline circa 1998 than 2008. When asked about going back to the bands punk roots, front man Matt Skiba explains: "Another thing that makes ["This Addiction"] resemble our earlier records, especially our first record, is that it's really personal. Everything on the record is stuff that definitely hits close to home for us and we tried to communicate that in the songs."

AMP is now the exclusive publishing administrator for Jason Schwartzman and his publishing companies Beaucoup Bucks and Oconut Cords. Effective January 1st, AMP will control the hit songs "California," "Do the Panic," as well as other titles co-written by Jason back when he was performing with alt-rock band Phantom Planet.

Q-Tip's album "The Renaissance" was nominated for a 2010 Grammy in the Best Rap Album category. The album's single "Gettin' Up" samples the R&B classic "You and I" from the Memory Lane catalog.

Scion inks exclusive publishing deal with producer Ty Fyffe. Ty honed his craft working under super-producer Teddy Riley. Fyffe has 17 Platinum and 10 Gold records to his credit including 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Ja-Rule and Mims.

Andrea Bocelli becomes the latest in a long list of superstar talent to record the Christmas classic "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town." The song is included in Bocelli's new holiday album "My Christmas," on sale November 3rd in the U.S.

Michael Buble's new album "Crazy Love," which features the song "You're Nobody Till Somebody Love You" is #1 on the Billboard Top 200.

Mason Jennings'"Blood of Man," his second record for Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records, hits stores on September 15th. Mason played and recorded all of the instruments, mixed and mastered the entire album himself-- a display of extreme talent and an anomaly in today's music industry.

Scion inks a publishing admin deal with Capitol recording artist MIMS. "Move (If You Wanna)," the first single off his sophomore release "Guilt," was featured on the hit TV show "So You Think You Can Dance" and peaked at #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Scion Music Group's record label division has signed a distribution deal with world renowned Universal Fontana Distribution. Look out for Scion's first release in mid 2010.

Hip-hop heavy-weight Twista is back with his seventh studio album "Category F5," featuring some of the biggest names in hip-hop. The album includes "Birthday" written and produced by Scion's Marlin 'Hookman' Bonds. "Category F5" debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200.

Memory Lane Music Group expands their world wide publishing network, adding two new SOCAN affiliates 'Scion Arctic' and 'Scion North'. The formation of these subsidiaries allows MLMG in-house administration of the catalog within Canada.

Scion Music strikes a publishing administration deal with Seattle's The Blakes. Praised by Pitchfork for their "swampy guitars, twitchy rhythms and power pop vocal harmonies", The Blakes recall the stinging catchiness of early Who, Kinks, and other spitfire rock bands.

Hip-hop veteran Q-Tip samples the Black Ivory classic "You and I" within "Gettin' Up," the first single off of his new album "The Renaissance". The official remix features Eve and production by Swizz Beatz.

Yo-Yo Ma has included "Vassourinha" on his new holiday album entitled "Songs of Joy & Peace," released by Sony Classical. Part of the Irmaos Vitale S.A. catalog,"Vassourinha" is a Brazilian folk song credited to Matias da Rocha and Joana Batista Ramos.

The evergreen "That Lucky Old Sun," written by Haven Gillespie & Beasley Smith, is the title track for Kenny Chesney's thirteenth studio album. Out on Blue Chair Records October 14th, the record includes a duet version of "T.L.O.S" featuring Willie Nelson.

AMP takes on artist Coconut Records, the musical solo-project by actor-musician Jason Schwartzman. Look out for the upcoming Dentyne Gum campaign featuring two Coconut Records songs,"Summer Day" and "The Thanks I Get". Coconut's sophomore release "Davy" is due out early 2009.

Grammy Award winning country artist Faith Hill has recorded "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" for her new holiday collection entitled "Joy to the World." Out on Warner Brothers Records September 30th,"Joy to the World" is certain to land on Billboard's Top Holiday Album chart.

Brian Wilson's "That Lucky Old Sun" album, out on Capitol Records September 2nd, is inspired by the standard written by Haven Gillespie & Beasley Smith. The album utilizes the original song "T.S.O.L" as an overture, and incorporates it into medleys fused with original material written by Wilson and collaborator Van Dyke Parks.

Scion expands its roster of talent signing internationally renowned Capitol Records recording artist Che' Nelle. She's best known for her chart topping hit "I Fell in Love with a DJ," co-written by R Kelly. Che' Nelle is currently working on her sophomore album slated to be released early 2010.

Punk band Alkaline Trio releases their sixth studio album "Agony & Irony." Out on Epic Records July 1st, the album marks the band's major label debut. The first single "Help Me" is in regular rotation on most modern rock stations and is currently #14 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks.

Mason Jennings released his seventh full length studio album "In the Ever," the first for Jack Johnson's Brushfire records. The album title was inspired by the birth of the singer / songwriter's son; Mason referred to his unborn child being "in the ever."

Raheem DeVaughn's critically acclaimed sophomore release "Love Behind the Melody" features tracks "Marathon" and "Desire" co-written by Scion writer Selan Lerner. The song "Some Kind of Way," co-written by Scion's Sherrod Barnes, was also included on the album as a bonus track. "Love Behind the Melody" debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200.

Another great signing for Memory Lane, the Beasley Smith Music catalog contains standards like "That Lucky Old Sun," "The Old Master Painter," and "God's Country."

Memory Lane Music has entered in to a worldwide publishing agreement with Affiliated Music Publishing (“AMP"). The AMP catalog includes songs from many celebrated artists including Alkaline Trio and Mason Jennings.

Memory Lane is now the exclusive World Wide administrator for Abilene, which contains works by George David Weiss, Luigi Creatore, and Hugo Peretti. Scion Music recently signed producer / songwriter Sherrod Barnes and lyricist Charlene Gilliam who teamed up to write "Cherry Girl." Recorded by Koda Kumi, this track spent four weeks at #1 in Japan.

Barry Manilow's latest release contains the Allen/Stillman classic 'Moments to Remember,' published by Memory Lane Music Group. Barry's "The Greatest Songs of the 50's" is in stores now.

Ashanti's album, "Concrete Rose," has sold over 1 million copies! Check out her track, "Focus," co-written by Memory Lane Music Group writers Jerry Barnes and Selan Lerner.

Composer and arranger John La Barbera, represented by Memory Lane Music outside the U.S. and Canada, was nominated for the 2005 Best Large Jazz Ensemble Grammy with his swingin' "On the Wild Side."

Memory Lane Music Group was featured in HFA's April 2005 issue of "Soundcheck." The article focuses on the rich history surrounding the company in addition to outlining the firm's core competencies and vision for the future.

"Voce E Eu," co-written by famed Bossa Nova singer/songwriter, Carlos Lyra, has been sampled by Beck in his new work, "Missing." The song is included on Beck's most recent album "Guero," that has sold over 500,000 copies. It was also heard in the "Beck-isode" of Fox's hit show, 'The O.C.'

Philadelphia Eagles' fight song, "The Eagles Victory Song," soars to new heights with last season's success of the NFC Champion Eagles. The song was played over stadium loudspeakers after Eagles' touchdowns. Even the players and fans burst into song!

Ithaka's album, "Recorded In Rio," is now being distributed by KES Marketing & Distribution and will soon be available at a store near you. Ithaka is currently in Portugal working on several new projects and a "Best Of Ithaka" compilation disc.

Released March 30th on Def Jam, 'Wu-Massacre' was produced by some of the biggest names in hip hop including RZA, Allah Mathematics, and Scion's own Ty Fyffe. Ty's track "Smooth Sailing" features a verse by longtime Wu collaborator Street Life and includes Solomon Childs on the chorus. The album debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Billboard Rap Albums chart.

After 9 years of dedicated service, Heather Trussell has been promoted from Licensing Manager to Vice President of Licensing. Heather holds a B.S. in Marketing from Northern Arizona University and a M.A. in Music Business from New York University.
